The MacEwan Faculty Association works to assist our members in a number of ways:
- If you have a formal grievance under the collective agreement, we will represent you to resolve the grievance, including taking the matter to arbitration, if necessary.
- Many members have workplace issues that are not formal grievances. We can assist you to work with your department, dean or university administration to resolve those issues before they may become grievances.
- If you have issues with your workload, there are specific procedures under the collective agreement to deal with them. We can advise you and support you in following these procedures.
- If you are a chair who is having difficulty with university administration or with faculty or staff in your department/program, we can help.
- If you are having difficulty with your chair, we can help.
Any consultations you have with us will always be confidential.
