We will always keep information you provide us in confidence. In some cases, we may be able to resolve your issues anonymously. Most times, however, in order to create a resolution, we will have to share your details with the university’s Human Resources department. Neither the GMUFA nor HR will distribute this information further than needed to resolve your issues.
Confidentiality during Grievance
Under our grievance procedures, not even the grievance committee will know the details of your name or department until the point at which they must decide whether to recommend the GMUFA pursue a written grievance.
We may publish some broad information about your issues, including the issue itself and how it was resolved. We will never publish your name or department without your permission. If your grievance goes all the way to an arbitration hearing, however, the arbitrator’s decision and the names of those involved will become a matter of public record.
