Gain Sharing Formula Determination
The current 2020-24 Collective Agreement includes a provision for a “Gain Sharing” wage adjustment with the condition that “the ‘Average of all Private Forecasts for Alberta’s Real GDP’ for the 2023 Calendar Year is at or above 2.7%.” (Appendix: Gain Sharing, pg. 111)
The Government of Alberta informed MacEwan University that the conditions required to trigger the “Gain Sharing Formula” wage adjustment have not been met. As a result, the additional 0.5% wage adjustment for the Gain Sharing will NOT take effect. You can find the applicable salary scale for your appointment type using the table below.
